PERFORMING AT DANISH MUSIC AWARDS 2014 (By Michael Sjösten)
So the day started with me Gab and Cedric taking the train to copenhagen.
When we came there we saw people camping outside the main doors and we were a little surprised by this.
Only to later realize how big this event really was.
We arrived and went to our changing room, and also got to see the stage and backstage of everything.
It was so big.
After leaving our stuff at the room or maybe more correct ”tent” that we had, we made our way to where the audience later would be and we waited there for a while.
The stage looked amazing, so there were a few photos taken... haha.
Now it was time for staging, we also got to try with our in ears and the instruments that we were supposed to have.
It was very different dancing with the real instruments but really fun.
Also a fun experience to dance with in ears, that’s something that I haven’t done before.
We also heard that there was gonna be like pyro effects on stage.
Almost like fireworks and that we really had to watch out from it.
We were standing really close to it apparently and we didn’t get to see it during the rehearsal because they wanted to save it for tonight.
That was a little scary but something to be excited for at the show!
After that we had lunch and just chilled.
We had like 2-3 hours until our last run trough with clothes and everything on stage so we could just take it easy.
The run trough was good and after that it was time for dinner.
The food at the DMA was good, and it was free so that made it even better!
Haha.
They also had like candy and bakery things like muffins and cake just lying around everywhere.
It was so hard to resist not eating everything!
But yeah, gotta think about that 6 - pack for LA...LOL.
Before the show started me, Gab and Cedric went outside to take some air and when we got to the main entrance we couldn’t believe our eyes.
We saw a line of people and follow the line.
It was seriously like probably 150 meter long if not more!
It was crazy!! Soo many people! Now we realized how big this thing was!
And now the show had begun, and we were watching it from a tv backstage.
Our performance was quite late into the show so we could watch most of the show.
It was a good show, and the music is really good! Haha I’m in love with danish music now after the music awards.
Then we also had to go to make up and get fixed.
Usually I hate having make up on for shows and stuff because it feels like a mask on my face and you can’t scratch it or touch your face because then you’ll ruin it.
But this make up was really good, I didn’t even feel that I had make up on.
They used some kind of spray machine and whatever it was...it was good!
Just before we were supposed to go on stage Burhan G, which I just gotta say is probably the most humble and caring artist I’ve ever worked with.
He really cares about his dancers and I gotta say that It was a HUGE honor to be on stage with him. But before the show he gave a little speech and just thanked everyone for being there with him.
Then we were on stage...
In front of thousands of people and all of Denmark's TVs.
It was a crazy feeling, first time im performing on tv outside of Sweden, and it was such a blast!
After the show it was time for the.... AFTER PARTY!
Yes, and that party was really crazy.
I had so much fun with all the danish dancers and all the people that had been in the show!

Probably one of my favorite nights so far.
Even tho it ended quite crazy.
I accidentally stepped on a glass and it went trough my shoe in my foot.
So I ended up going to the hospital and didn’t come home until 11 in the morning.
It was a weird night, but I have no regrets.
I wanna thank Lin for giving me this crazy opportunity!
I can’t describe in words how much it means to me, and how much I appreciate it.
You are the best director / teacher / dance mom anyone can have!
Thank you for just being the best.
And I also wanna thank Marvin Spahi and Tonyah for also believing in us and giving us this chance. Once again, I cannot express how much I really do appreciate this!
Until next time.
