DAY 132 - April 1st 2014 (By Kallum Khaos)

Blog blog blogggg...Hej!

Today the schedule looked a little like this:

10:00-10:30 Warm Up
10:30-11:30 Work on Choreography for Matrix
11:30-12:00 Lunch
12:00-13:30 Ballet
13:30-13:45 Break
13:45-15:15 Tap Class
15:15-15:30 Break
15:30-17:00 Tap Class
17:00-17:15 Stretch

Which means a lot of hard work! It's not long until we have to teach the Hip Drop students the choreography for the show so we're all busy working on choreography and trying to firm up our ideas. It's such a new experience choreographing for a large amount of people on a big stage but the variation and creativity it brings out of you is making everything even more exciting.

Ballet is so tough, in a good way – Sometimes I have to simplify travelling exercises and just focus on the legs because if I try to do the legs and arms at the same time it just doesn't go according to plan. By the end though it was looking...reasonable...

Tap is even more new to me than Ballet, I have taken 2 tap classes in the past 2 years and it's such a difficult style but really fun to learn. I'm starting to work on my shuffle's and my flap's whenever I'm waiting around for someone or standing still for more than 3 seconds. I probably look like I'm stomping on invisible ants to anybody that passes me by but oh well, practise makes perfect, right?

Until next time.

Sayonara.
