DAY 41 - November 4th 2013 (By Elina Ayako)

Dear Blog reader

I am so happy. 
You want to know why? 
Today, Tony Tzar arrived. 
Yes you've heard right, 
Tony FREAKING Tzar. And just as we've expected, the first day with him was simply amazing! 

The first choreography was very groovy and sensual. 
When Tony teaches a piece, he doesn't only show us the choreography but he also tries to explain how you can project the mood of the song to your dancing. 
For example: He pointed out how relaxed Justin Bieber is sing-talking on the track, as if he's flirting with the microphone. 
To demonstrate the seductive feel of it, he was dancing a section right in front of Marilena - "OH MY GOSH" was the only thing that came out of her mouth haha! 
So we tried to be conversational through our dancing - and it worked! 
To match the atmosphere, he taught both classes with no light expect for two little (Glühbirnen) that were flickering in the corners of the room. 

Sounds pretty awesome, huh? 

For the second class we continued in the dark. This piece had some Contemporary influence & to me it felt like a real Tony Tzar choreography (if that makes sense?! haha). 
His style is so unique & artistic.
I was just filled with happiness - even though sometimes I failed miserably dancing his choreography. 

Having my favorite male choreographer here at the Education Program is so unreal. 
I really appreciate having this opportunity & I'm just so thankful to live the life I'm living.
