Day 43 - November 6th 2013 (By Denice M.Solberg)

Heyheyhey!
So we are in the middle of our week with Tony Tzar already.  We are learning so much from him. I think we are starting to understand why he is a genius when it comes to art, cause he’s mind is all over the place. Haha, he talks a lot. Our classes go like an hour over time everyday because of his speeches.
Today we did some voguing. I find it very cool, but it takes time to get the body to understand it. Voguing has a lot of attitude and personality because of the story behind everything.  It’s not just random movement.

Tony gave us a lot of history to remember, but the dancing became more real learning it. We did some catwalking and duckwalking. And I had no idea that cat walking has the name because you actually walk like a cat.
In the end we did a combination that was hard.
Tony is so amazing at everything. It’s crazy how he can be more of a girl than me, and then switch it up and becomes a real man man. I have never been really interested in voguing before, but now I really wanna get into it. The history and the meaning behind everything is so cool. I really have to learn how to be confident taking the attention in a room being serious,. So this style might help me break some walls.
We repeated a choreo from Monday to ”Justin Bieber/Love Me Like You Do”. Amazing choreo, I love it! His focus was on being natural and conversational. Like if you were in that situation how would you be? He made us take away the ”dancy” moves and switch them up with realistic way of using body language. It was pretty interesting and cool to see how it worked to think like that.
Last thing from me, I had my international class at The Hip Drop tonight. It was sooo much fun! I taught a happy choreo, and the energy in the room was just full of pure happiness and joy! I was smiling the whole time and so did many of the others. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more! Everybody did really good!
