Day 52 - November 19th 2013 (By Kallum Khaos)
Hey guys!
So this week is supposed to be a little bit more 'chill' but it definitely doesn't feel like it.
I feel like we're working even harder than we would if we had an international choreographer - which is probably impossible because we give 110% in every class ;-)
We started the day with our continuously expanding work out program, followed by class with Lin where we worked on two pieces for a couple of performances we have coming up.
THEYRE SO GOOD =D =D
Really opposite vibes but will look amazing on stage.
I can't wait!
If you're in Skåne or the surrounding area, you should definitely be there.
There will even be guest performances by dancers and teams from other dance schools in Skåne.
Check the pre flyer here....more info will follow very soon:
After this we got into our groups and worked on our musical jazz assignment which is starting to take shape and look pretty cool.
The guys (Mantas, Anton and I) are working well together, we occasionally get distracted by comparing our muscles in the mirror, but all in all, we are getting a lot done.
Today we were working on the 'Hip Hop' section and choreographing altogether which is surprisingly conflict free.
Next we had lunch break which turned in to a little bit of a Q and A with Lin where we learned a lot about the business side of the studio, setting up the camps and her process of choosing teachers.
After another warm up/work out we had our Christmas performance solo's to choreograph.
We all put on headphones and have what looks like a bit of a silent disco in the studio, everybody dancing different choreography, in different styles to different music – we probably look crazy to anybody watching but these sessions are really productive.
We ended the day with the usual stretch, which is lead by Elin this week.
I want to end my blog by letting you guys know about 1 of 2 videos you should have watched by now.
It's of the solo's we made for Andye J's assignment, mine was posted up on the blog sometime last week, but Mantas and Anton now have theirs on Youtube for the world to see.
Check out Anton´s here:
