Dear reader, follower or stalker ;)

Before you read my blog.

Please let me introduce myself.
My name is Heinrich Herrmann I am born and raised in the beautiful city of Freiburg placed in the very south - west of Germany.
I have got a little brother who is taller than me and who does not like to dance.
My family is always supporting me in everything I am doing and I appreciate that  :)
By the way I am 24 years old.

Dance background:

I really started dancing when I was 17, and I really struggled with that when I saw all of these young asian kids on youtube doing everything I will never do.
Anyway, I started with ballroom in a very famous dance school called Gutmann - they have a lot of dance classes with awesome teachers.
One of them was always doing the wave in the regular ballroom class and I desperately wanted to learn it.
So I asked him if he could teach it to me...
I seriously failed when I tried it the first time, but from that moment on, I was infected.
I started to take classes every f***ing day of the week - that was in September 2007.
After two years of hard training I was asked to teach at same dance school that I trained at everyday.
I was so excited that my dream came true at that moment.
When I passed my exams in high school I started an apprenticeship at the dance school, so I have taught and danced a lot in the last years (especially with my Crews Dope Skit and Dopies)

I found so many friends and of course, my big love - whom I call my girlfriend.

With her I did a lot of successful shows for our junior team and she has opened my eyes for the theater dance scene.
Her family owns a famous street theater called Pan Optikum and with them I had the opportunity to dance in front of so many people in Puebla Mexico last year.
I truly appreciate that!

Of course I took a lot of workshops with awesome dancers, but not always teachers ;)

I guess everybody who read this blog has been taking classes with those crazy dancers from all over the world.
I do not want to make a list but I think you know who Keone Madrid, Lyle Beniga etc. is.

Dreams and goals:

My biggest dream (besides universal peace) is just to be happy with anything I am doing.
It does not matter if it has something to do with dance or not.
So don't worry be happy. :)

How did you hear about the program and what made you decide to apply:

I didn't heard about but read a lot about it.
If you are in the dance scene from anywhere in the world you know The Hip Drop. If not, you have no idea what a slide or a step touch is.
I applied this year because I really want to learn more from the best of the best and not just have a workshop for three hours every third month.

P. S. : So if you like my story and my kind of humor don't be shy to follow/stalk me here or on facebook, Instagram or Freiburg City.

Peace, over and out.

Heinrich
