I have been planning this education program for 3 years now.
The wish to do it have been there for 5 years, but I had to feel ready to do it.
Of course I wanted to make this program something I would feel was my own DREAM PROGRAM.
Otherwise why would I do it?
I have to go full out when i do something otherwise I wont feel satisfied or driven to do it.
To be here now with these 8 amazing students really makes my early mornings great everyday.
This is the best 8 we could have wished for.
Me and my partner Karsten Mathiesen were sceptic in the beginning to accept only 8 financially, but this is a really great start for us as well.
To have such a small group to focus on this first year.
We will be able to be even more prepared for next years students.
So what does this education give the dancers applying?
Answer is easy. Something that is not possible to get anywhere else in the world.
1 year of intensive training by THE BEST.
Teachers and Choreographers such as David Moore(US) - S**t Kingz(JAPAN) - Anthony Lee(US) - Andye Jamieson(US) - Tony Czar(US) - Devin Jamieson(CANADA) and many more are scheduled to be teaching these lucky 8. And we are not only talking one or two hours.
They will be drilled through out sessions of 15-30 hours of training with each teacher.
This program is thoughtfully planned to get you in the best shape physically and mentally that you could ever wish for as an Urban dancer.
The tools we are giving the students in this program will open lots of doors, new opportunities and new ways of seeing their future dance life.
The interesting thing about this program is that I believe even professional dancers would love it.
There are always something to learn about dance, and if you are able to attend this program you will be living a dream life as a dancer for one year.
Just being inspired, working on your craft.
This program is definitely for everyone who looks for one year in heaven as a dancer.
The program will build you up, and give you so much knowledge.
About nutrition, music (music theory), dance history, history of hip hop, business classes, and the list goes on.
This is not JUST a year with a lot of classes!
This is a well planned program that is made to make you as strong,smart, inspired and motivated as possible.
And where you wanna take this learning experience will be up to you.
But after this year you will have even more to offer in every way.
Honestly if I was not the one doing this program I would be IN the program (if I got accepted ha ha)
Cause living a year like this would just be THE dance "vacation" of my life.
And I guess this is why I am so passionate and dedicated and excited about this program.
Cause I couldnt have wished for something better.
This has everything I would have dreamed for if I was the student.
Today David Moore arrives.
I am so happy to bring him out again, and also to bring him as the first 1 YEP teacher.
He will work with the group for a total 24 hours through out 7 days. And he will also be doing an introduction video with them.
I am beyond excited to see the process and the turn out.
