Day 11 - September 16th 2013 (By Denice Solberg)

Day 11 - September 16th 2013 (By Denice Solberg)

What? Weekend is already over?.. today I was very tired, and I could tell I wasn’t the only one.
The weekend was filled up with Copenhagen, show, shopping etc. and sleep wasn’t prioritized.
I love coming back to school tho.
This is week 3 and it contains of lot of  exciting things.
The videoshoot David is doing with us is the highlight!
Cant wait!!
I have no idea what choreo we are going to do yet.
Either David is full of secrets – like Lin, or he is just very relaxed knowing that he dosent need to hesitate.
Probably a mix of both. I wanna know now!
I really hope we are gonna use the one we learned today to ”Drake - Hold on we’re going home”.

On Saturday night the ones that live in the house we call ”Malmö-Shore” had a very good and needed group meeting.
We watched all the videos we have recorded in the past classes and commented on every single one of us.
Both constructive and positve feedback.
Everybody has their strenghts and weaknesses.
It was very needed for me personally and I got a lot out of the comments.
Watching everybody and listening to what everybody thinks is so inspiring.
To me everybody seems to have pretty much the same mindset and maturity when it comes to having a dancers eye.
What to work on, what looks good etc.

But all of these comments made todays classes ten times harder.
I was trying so hard to work on what all the comments said.
I figured that if I focus on too much at the same time, I will only get depressed and tired, so I am gonna have to choose to only focus on one or two things at a time from now on.
David taught us two amazing choreos today!
Knowing this is his last week with us is very sad.
We’re just starting to get very comfortable and he seems to enjoy the classes too which makes it even more fun for us.

Btw, today we didn’t stretch after class and I can really tell that my body is starting to hurt already. So tomorrow I will do it for sure! Got to take care of my body!

Now it’s time to relax. Elina and I are making it cozy on the balcony with some music, tea food and blankets!
Just what we both need right now, it was kind of a rough day!
A little overwhelming trying to be perfect right away, so we just have to be patient with ourselves. Dancing wise of course.
