Day 6 - September 9th 2013 (By Elin Karabuda)
HI BLOG! :D
Elin Karabuda here, but u can call me E-dog.
After the regular
morning workout (it can be a pain in the *** sometimes, but I wanna be able to
beat down the hulk, so I’m not complaining) we had class with Karsten.
He taught
us a lot of cool stuff like toprock techniques and breaking.
It was all new to me,
which made it extra exciting to learn a totally different way of dancing.
Trying
new stuff is always good!
(And if you have a mirror in front of you, you get
some good laughs…)
Also, he told us that we get to choose a powermove (a
mindblowing move we can use later on in shows, battles, audition etc.) that he
will work on with us so we got it when the education is over.
I really appreciate
him doing this for us.
So yea, we will be a cool bunch of people after this
year!
After the
lunchbreak we had a classmeeting were we talked about our goals and dreams.
It
was very interesting to hear what everyone wanted to make out of their dancing!
What I
learned was to separate goals from dreams.
And that we need both, but goals are
a must in order to be happy and successful/satisfied.
Dreams can be something
totally unreal that you want to pursue in your life but doesn’t feel like it
has to come true.
Goals are reachable, and therefore we need to set them for
us.
Not only one big lifegoal but also many small ones during the path.
I like
these advice a lot.
The small goals make you see that you really are getting
somewhere and make you happier for smaller accomplishments.
So high-five
for this meeting!
Our last
class was with the HipDrop queen herself, Lin!
This is what we learned on her
class:
Yup!
That
was one hella good choreo!
Besides that,
I especially like that we all get constructive criticism on her classes.
Because
after we got that I think that everyone really improved dancing that choreo.
Bye! See u
on day 13! ;D
