Day 17 - September 24th 2013 (By Elina Ayako)
Hmm alright, Jazz and Musical…
Haven't taken any lessons before or really known what it is but let me tell you....IT IS FREAKING AWESOME!
Today's teacher was Martin Svaneborg from Sceneindgangen in Denmark.
Even though I haven't heard of him before, I for sure won't forget his name after today!
He taught us some Jazz technique in the morning that consisted of a warm up routine and some across the floor exercises.
After going through the warm up moves, somebody in the room (don't tell anyone but it was me) thought that this is soooo easy,
I'm already a pro in this #Boss!
But after Sir Svaneborg went into the details and explained every move for at least 5 minutes, it became more than clear that this is not only very difficult to execute correctly but also very exhausting - I love it!
After a short lunch we continued with a Jazz History class, and some background on Bob Fosse's life.
I felt like a door to a new world has opened to me, I could have listened to Martin for hours!
Since Bob Fosse has had such a massive impact on the Musical scene, we just had to learn a part of one of his pieces; Chicago.
We were all in character, it was so much fun to dance something we're totally not used to!
And watching the boys dancing to a song with the lyrics "I'm gonna rough my knees and pull my stockings down" was definitely an experience.

Then we had some time to work on our David Moore assignment.
We are working really well as a group, our vibe and connection to each other is one of a kind..
But maaan, collaborating with 8 people was challenging!
In despite of some complications, we got up with a good end product so the day ended just as good as it has started!
